The 2016 Chevrolet Volt will soon appear in sales lots and on sales floors. It is a sporty-looking electric-hybrid car that is similar to the generation before it. There are many new features for 2016, which include room for five passengers, a new braking system, a Regen on Demand feature to control energy reproduction and a two-motor drive unit. The Volt's components are being produced all over the place: the drive unit is manufactured in Warren, Michigan, at GM's Powertrain plant. The 1.5-liter engine is made at GM's Toluca, Mexico, plant for the car's first year of manufacture, then it will be made in GM's Flint, Michigan engine plant. The 2016 Chevrolet Volt provides an electric-car driving experience that will get you to your destination quickly with little engine noise. The Volt provides an estimated 430-miles driving range. People may be able to drive up to 1,000 miles in between fuel tank fill-ups. You will be able to accelerate from zero to 30 miles per hour (mph) in little time. You will have an 18.4 kilowatt hour battery that uses 192 cells. A 1.5-liter range extender offers a GM-estimated fuel economy of 41 miles per gallon (mpg). One of the Volt's engine's motors makes emergency electricity when the battery needs to be charged, and the other motor makes the wheels move to get you to your destination.

The Volt seats five. It has blue ambient lighting. The cluster display has an eight-inch reconfigurable screen to let the driver know about information relevant to their engine and the like. It has Chevrolet MyLink that you can hook your smartphone--an Apple iPhone 5 or later--up to, and MyLink also features Apple CarPlay capability. There is available 4G LTE Wi-Fi for people to remain connected to the internet, whether it is for your passengers or for you while you are parked. The front doors have the Volt signature on them, which distinctly lets you tell a Volt apart from other Chevrolet models. In essence, the Volt has many features to make it the fashionable yet durable car that it is.
