There are seven Traverse trim levels to choose from in the 2020 model year. The base L model comes outfitted with standard features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 18-inch wheels, a rearview camera, onboard WiFi, cloth upholstery, and a 7-inch touchscreen interface. Each Traverse trim in the 2020 model year is powered by the same capable engine and transmission combo. The standard engine is a 3.6-liter V6 which comes mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Together, this powertrain creates 266 pound-feet of torque and 310 horsepower. Front-wheel drive is the standard drivetrain configuration but you can opt for the available all-wheel-drive configuration if desired. The EPA estimates that the Traverse can reach between 25 and 27 miles per gallon on the highway depending on the drivetrain. Each model is also equipped with engine start/stop technology to boost the SUV's fuel economy further. Towing is possible thanks to the Traverse's 5,000 towing capacity!
