Does the 2022 Silverado come with the Multi-Flex Tailgate?
The Silverado's offers a chiseled and rugged exterior styling. While the upgraded interior provides comfort and function with a more modern design, better-integrated accent trim, and high-end leather. The segment-first Advanced Trailering System features an In-Vehicle App that offers customized trailer profiles. Other features include pre-departure checklists, trailer lighting diagnostics, trailer tire pressure/temperature monitoring, and the ability to create and sync trailer profiles with the myChevrolet Mobile App. Plus, the Multi-Flex Tailgate is now available on all eight trim levels and offers six different functions to help improve loading, unloading, and accessing the cargo bed.
What engines are offered in the Chevy Silverado?
The base engine is the 2.7-liter 4-cylinder, which gets a more robust block and a boost in torque to 42 while still producing 310 horsepower. Additionally, the diesel engine, which offers 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, sees a towing capacity increase by 4,000 pounds, going from 9,300 to 13,300! If you opt for the 2.7-liter, you will get Chevy's 8-speed automatic transmission. All other engines have been paired with a 10-speed automatic. The 5.3-liter V8, 6.2-liter V8, and 3.0-liter turbodiesel models have 3:23:1 rear gearing. The turbo 2.7, along with the 5.3 and 6.2-liter V8s equipped with the Max Trailering Package, get a 3.42:1 rear axle ratio.
