How powerful is the Traverse?
One standard engine for the Traverse encompasses every trim level, and it's one of the most powerful out there. That engine is a 3.6-liter V6 that pushes out a spectacular 310 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque. It pairs with a smooth eight-speed automatic transmission which gives you one of the best rides around. Front-wheel-drive is standard on each of the trims, but if you're looking for some better traction for the bad weather, then all-wheel-drive is available. There is a lot to love about this engine, and it will provide the power you need to get you from place to place.
What kinds of features can I get with the 2023 Traverse?
Eight impressive trims are available for the 2023 Traverse, and no matter which one you go with, you will be treated with spectacular features. We start with the base LS trim, which comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, heated outside mirrors, cloth upholstery, triple-one climate control, and a 7-inch touchscreen with onboard WI-Fi and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Next is the LT Cloth trim that will give you more luxury items, such as heated front seats, a power-adjustable power seat, a remote engine start, an 8-inch high-definition touchscreen, and a power liftgate. On higher trims of the Traverse, you will find a ton of performance features that will couple nicely with the spectacular luxury items. Included are things like a heated steering wheel, blacked-out styling cues, LED headlights, a hands-free liftgate, heated and ventilated rear seats, and wireless device charging. The highest of the high trims is the aptly named High Country, which has a panoramic sunroof, several trailering enhancements, and a power-folding third-row seat.
Safety items of the Traverse
In addition to the engine's power and all the impressive features, the Traverse also comes with plenty of advanced safety features that will keep you and your loved ones safe as your cruise down the open road. Most of these safety systems are available thanks to Chevy Safety Assist. The first safety system we will talk about is Forward Collision Mitigation which has audio and visual cues to prevent you from getting into a head-on collision and will even apply the brakes in certain situations when you fail to do so. Then there is a Lane Keeping Assist system which will keep the Traverse between the white lines, and a Blind-Spot Monitoring system with Rear-Cross Path Detection, which will monitor the areas around the Traverse for traffic so you can make safer lane changes.
