The Chevrolet BrightDrop, formerly known as the Chevrolet BrightDrop Zevo, is making headways as a new Chevrolet model and multi-purpose all-electric van. Currently, it’s available for purchase as a commercial vehicle. It’s also only available in a limited number of Chevrolet dealerships. Reedman Toll Chevrolet Langhorne provides an insider’s perspective about this model’s performance and other highlights.
Interior Cargo Volume
If you’re shopping for a city-friendly van with great cargo capacity, this is an excellent option with ample cargo volume. Two trims are available. The Chevrolet BrightDrop 400 has a 412.1 cubic feet cargo volume and a maximum 3,710-pound payload. The larger Chevrolet BrightDrop 600 has a 614.7 cubic-foot cargo area but a slightly lower maximum payload of 3,350 pounds.
Electric Range
The Chevrolet BrightDrop has a General Motors-estimated range of 193 miles in the city and 151 miles on the highway. It also has a maximum charging rate of 160 miles per hour. Front-wheel-drive comes standard, with all-wheel-drive as an available upgrade.
Safety Features
Commercial vans have a larger footprint, more blind spots, and a wider turning radius. This makes safety essential for the driver and fellow motorists. The van has over 20 safety and driver assistance features, some standard and others available. Examples include Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking, and Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking, among the highlights. Please remember, though, that the safety features are not a substitute for the responsible driving expected of a commercial vehicle operator.
